TalkTogether should feel welcoming, spontaneous, and safe. These rules apply to profiles, rooms, calls, messages, images, GIFs, voice recordings, and screen sharing.
Be respectful
Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, shame, or target people based on protected characteristics. Respect boundaries and leave a conversation when someone asks.
Protect privacy
Do not share someone’s address, precise location, contact details, intimate content, recordings, or other private information without clear permission. Do not record or rebroadcast calls without everyone’s consent.
Keep people safe
No sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, credible threats, instructions for serious harm, trafficking, or content that exploits or endangers minors. TalkTogether is for adults aged 18 and over.
No deception or abuse
Do not impersonate others, scam, spam, manipulate matching, evade blocks or bans, distribute malware, or disrupt rooms, calls, and screen shares.
Share only lawful content
Do not upload illegal material or content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights.
Moderate fairly
Room owners and co-owners should explain room expectations, use moderation tools proportionately, and transfer ownership responsibly. Moderator status never permits abuse or discrimination.
Report problems
Use the in-app report and block tools when something goes wrong. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Enforcement
Violations may lead to content removal, room termination, feature limits, suspension, or account deletion. Serious or repeated violations may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.
